Welcome to Degen Infrastructure Core Services (D.I.C.S) a validator node set up by the NFT community of the Degenerate Ape Academy and Degenerate Trash Pandas, aka the Degen DAOO

We are working to help secure the Solana network. Our Validator is open to staking for anybody and the commission rate is 6.9% (nice). The validator commission fees will go to The Degen DAOO treasury to help grow the community, support the Solana ecosystem and fund further degenerate initiatives.

In essence, validators make sure your beautiful ape appears in your wallet every time you open it.

The difference between the staking commission Solana pays and what you earn (the DAOO’s fee) goes to fund the DAOO and all the crazy shit we have planned for you degens. From merch, to giveaways and IRL events, this stuff costs and your support will help cover it.

Getting started is easy! Follow these steps to start staking using your Phantom wallet

Open your Phantom wallet and "Start earning SOL"

With SOL in your wallet, click on the Solana token balance and it will show you a "Start Earning SOL" button

Search for DICS

You'll search for your validator of choice. DICS, obviously.

Input amount & Confirm

Choose the amount you'd like to stake from you wallet and then hit stake! That's it!

We all have questions sometimes... and if you're new to this, we want to be your onramp to supporting the DAOO and the Solana ecosystem at large.

What is a validator?

A validator is a node in the Solana network that votes on which transactions to include in the blockchain. This is similar to a miner in POW (proof of work) based chains like Bitcoin, but since Solana is proof of stake it is dependent on delegators and stake instead of hash power

Is 6-7% APY low or high?

Yes. This is the standard APY you’ll get staking across validators across the board. There may be some validators where you may het higher than 7 because their commission fee is low or zero.

How long is my SOL locked up?

Typically 0-3 days... all depends on when the epoch ends. You can view the current epoch stats on the Solana Beach https://solanabeach.io/

Am I able to stake my DAA Ape or DTP

Not at this time. Only Sol can be staked.
